Well, Rocky Bay the Name describes our landscape. Surrounded by the best Mwanza, Tanzania has to offer our beautiful yet small lodge is starting to blossom.

Founded by brothers, Jozua and Hennie, Rocky Bay was not originally intended to be a lodge, it was going to be a close by, relaxing get-away spot for themself along with their family and friends. Quickly Joz realised the potential of this beautiful lake side property, and thats where the magic began! Juggling his time between his construction company owned by him and his brother, Joz designed and managed the construction of each and every building on the property. One by one our uniquely beautiful cottages popped up, a stunning bar & restaurant over looking the lake and an exclusive pool.

The gardens of the Lake Lodge was designed and landscaped by Jozua's wife May Coetsee. She has always had a green thumb and thoroughly enjoyed every tree and patch of grass that was planted on our diamond in the rough.
