Experienced Chef Position

We are seeking an experienced chef to join our Boutique resort in Tanzania

 

Location: Tanzania (Live in position)

Type: 3-month Contract (with the possibility of extension)

 

Immediate Start Required (Position open to South African candidates)

Company Overview:

Our lake resort in Tanzania is seeking a highly skilled, motivated & experienced Chef to lead our culinary team. With a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences, we are looking for a talented professional who can take charge of our kitchen and contribute to the implementation of our new menu. This 3-month contract position has the potential to extend based on performance and mutual agreement.

Job Responsibilities:

You will play a crucial role in the success of our restaurant. Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Kitchen Management

• Menu Development

• Staff Training and Development

• Quality Control

• Cost Control

• Health and Safety

• Supplier Management

 

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Chef in a high-volume restaurant.

• Formal Tertiary food qualification

• Must have a minimum of at least 3-5 years of previous experience as a Chef

• Strong leadership and team management skills.

• Excellent creativity and menu development abilities.

• Exceptional organisational and time management skills.

• Strong understanding of kitchen financials and cost control.

• Knowledge of various cooking techniques and international cuisines.
